Love and Marriage

Hey guys, how are we doing? My days have been hot and cold, almost fell ill or maybe did a little but I'm good now. Anyway, it's been a while I just talked and I've been wanting to for a while now, but you know how these things are now, right? I'm here now, though :D. I ended last year marrying a cousin out and started this year marrying a friend out ( it sounds like I'm the one collecting the bride price, right? lol). Yeah, so the whole relationship and marriage topic started flowing around again for some time,  you  know the usual questions from every corner, those with the right to ask and those who have no business asking, "When are we coming for your own oh?", "| So, when are we meeting him now?" and the likes. Well, I think all of that inspired me to talk my talk today, so come with me and flow through my mind.

It's Thanksgiving Again! What Are You Thankful For?

Happy thanksgiving everyone! How are you doing? It's thanksgiving season again and I believe you have many reasons to be thankful. I know I do and that's why I'm here today; to share some of the reasons why I'm thankful. It's very usual to hear people say they don't have reasons to be thankful and I must say that this is very sad. First, because it is untrue and also because your negative attitude or your ingratitude hinders you from receiving more blessings. If you can't see and appreciate what you have right now, what use would it be to give you more? Always be grateful people, no matter what you're going through the fact remains that there are people who have it better and those who have it worse than you do. I'm not here to preach today, I'm here to count some of my blessings with you, so please, follow me :).

The Delivery Room

Hello everyone, how are you doing? Staying smart, clean and healthy I hope? Please do. Today's topic was inspired by my cousin Ali and more like given by my big sister Grace; my personal host ( by that, I mean I perch on her and everything she has - what are big sisters for ehy?). I can't remember how the topic came up in our home this weekend but it caused a serious debate, with Ali being the only male so we were 3 girls against him :D. So let me ask you now; guys, will you go into the delivery room with your wife? And ladies, would you want your husband to go into the delivery room with you?

Hey guys, what's up? 

Let's have a little lovey lovey talk, okay? What do you think about public marriage proposals? I can feel the girls blushing with thoughts of their very own and I can see the guys sweating, trying to be creative and wondering if they should go there. It's sweet right? I know, but guess what? I hate it! Seriously, I do. I don't hate it for people. I truly love it for people, I love the whole creativity that goes into it. I love to see the smile, tears of joy on the faces of the proposed. I love the sweet words he says as it most times radiates deep love. Again, I love it for the couple who are happy after all is said and done. 

The Marriage Ambition

Hello people. I didn't plan to talk about marriage today, but, today that has been the topic all around me. I'll give you a background summary of the marriage hits today. First, I read one of my favourite blogs-Tommyslav's Island where a woman's quest for love somehow led her into a troubled marriage, you should visit the site (if you don't already know it), she posts really interesting fictional stories weekly. The second was a real life discussion about a lady who has set up her wedding date with a man she met 5 months ago and the final was in church, we had a "Single and Fulfilled" sermon. 

I know many people have diverse views on marriage; what it is about, why it should be or why not, when and blah blah blah. I'll give my truth about the topic. Marriage is not a joking matter. It is a serious covenant between two people giving themselves to each other and meant to last forever. That being said, it is obvious that a matter like this should not be rushed into. Thinking about it, where are you rushing to? You go deh der tire!( Not tire in a bad way, hopefully). With all the love in the world between two people, they still encounter problems and struggles in their marriage-it happens and it's okay as long as their love and faith in their love can help them overcome the struggles. Now think of going through such struggles with a partner you barely know or someone you were pushed to marry for some silly reason. My dears, it's not a funny thing at all. Don't try it oh!
