Happy Valentine's Day Lovers!

 

Hey loves! Happy Val's Day :* . How are you all doing? So today is Val's day and I just thought I should drop some love to my lovers from this side of the world. Valentine's day has always been a big deal in this part of the world. I'm not even going to go into the history of St. Valentine and how this day came about and the kind of love that this day actually signified because clearly, humans have converted this day to what we want. I still remember the crazy anticipation among lovers in secondary school and how it was simply expected to go all out for your crush at the time. I have always thought this gesture sweet albeit many times ridiculous.

In my opinion, love should never be a thing of competition, however during the Val's season, you see people going nuts trying to get gifts beyond their means just to prove a point, what point? I think the points differ to be honest. Anyway, I'm a sucker for love (sometimes) and specifically the true, pure and expressive kind where the hearts trust one another and are secure knowing what the other feels for them. I am a believer in loving in your own way. We are all different and we all love differently. Val's is a period to show love (to everyone), showing love to your partners should be a form of selfless act from you and this could come in various forms. Choose to do or give something they love/need, you know what would speak your love in a language their hearts will understand.  

In conclusion, today shouldn't be the only day to show love, we all know this but it's nice to do something special for the ones you love and for those who have no one to show them love. Give your time, money, services, gifts etc. to someone. Take any opportunity you have to show love in whatever capacity you can. The thought is what counts and please don't let the foolish pressure from all the blinding red around  make you go beyond your means or worse put you in some depressed spirit. Love and be loved darlings that's the only way life is worth living...
