What Qualifies as Sin?

Hey guys, how are you all doing?

You know how we are very fond of choosing what sin is and what isn’t or what is sin enough for us to do and what is too sinful? Yeah, it’s crazy right, but almost all of us are guilty of this. Don’t worry, I shall explain further with illustrations too, follow me.

Make no mistakes, I do not support any form of sin. We are all humans and tend to sin from time to time and the point of this write up is to cut the “terrible sinners” some slack, for if you look deeply, you’d see that you are not very different from them.

Human Trafficking

Hey guys, how are you all doing? I hope much better than I am now. While going through one of my favorite blogs; www.kemifilani.com, I came across a post on human trafficking. It wasn’t the same old sermon about human trafficking, warnings on prostitution and all that. A very brave journalist;  Tobore Ovuorie set out on an undercover mission to expose the top goons of the “Human Trafficking Committee”. Her discoveries just made me sad, really. I hear about it and I have probably watched it in movies (or maybe made movies in my head of the stories I was told, it’s hard to discern).  Anyway, I don’t know what exactly about hers made me feel it more, but I did.

The Motivation to Be More

Hello world. What's happening at your ends?

Today, let's talk about the motivation to be more. I shall attempt to view this from both the man and woman's stand point. Wish me luck, but most of all, teach me more in the comments box :*.

Ladies first right? Ok, first, let me clarify what I mean by "Be More". For many who have the privilege to dream of a future career from a young age, (I say "the privilege to dream" because some are not exposed enough to know there's more out there-not really an excuse though) there's usually this sense of direction or perception as to how their lives should go. Sometimes, luckily, the dream you choose as a kid is what you end up being and you feel fulfilled, yaay! for you, other times life happens and you get side kicked from every corner and lose course. In some cases, you don't lose course per say, you simply get delayed due to circumstances somewhat beyond your control. So, say, your dream was to be a pilot and so far all you have is an engineering degree (not aeronautics) and you need to go to aviation school which you can't really pay for at the moment, what do you do? Quit on your dream and continue your 8-5 job or save up and go for your aviation school (hoping time is still on your side, that is)?

The Marriage Ambition

Hello people. I didn't plan to talk about marriage today, but, today that has been the topic all around me. I'll give you a background summary of the marriage hits today. First, I read one of my favourite blogs-Tommyslav's Island where a woman's quest for love somehow led her into a troubled marriage, you should visit the site (if you don't already know it), she posts really interesting fictional stories weekly. The second was a real life discussion about a lady who has set up her wedding date with a man she met 5 months ago and the final was in church, we had a "Single and Fulfilled" sermon. 

I know many people have diverse views on marriage; what it is about, why it should be or why not, when and blah blah blah. I'll give my truth about the topic. Marriage is not a joking matter. It is a serious covenant between two people giving themselves to each other and meant to last forever. That being said, it is obvious that a matter like this should not be rushed into. Thinking about it, where are you rushing to? You go deh der tire!( Not tire in a bad way, hopefully). With all the love in the world between two people, they still encounter problems and struggles in their marriage-it happens and it's okay as long as their love and faith in their love can help them overcome the struggles. Now think of going through such struggles with a partner you barely know or someone you were pushed to marry for some silly reason. My dears, it's not a funny thing at all. Don't try it oh!

Hi everyone! Okay, so I know many people say this a lot but for me it's really true; I have been meaning to start this blog for forever. What has been stopping me? No other than Princess herself, that's me by the way. I put up all the excuses in the world that hindered me from starting this but I'm here, FINALLY! I don't particularly have all the answers yet but at least we're here and that means something.

Getting into what we are here for now, let's see. We're here to get to know each other, share ideas and experiences, make life better for us all-somehow, so we can all enjoy it. We'll be talking about various topics that affect us as humans, individuals and as a society. We'll be talking about our everyday life, our struggles and our victories. Hopefully no boring stuff, we'll just be discussing the life we live and sometimes a little amebo about the lives of others, who knows, we may learn a thing or two.

I look forward to meeting and learning from intelligent people of diverse backgrounds.
